Clinical Approach
Dr. Moore utilizes an integrative therapeutic approach when working clients. He combines evidenced-based practices, including cognitive behavioral therapy and attachment based therapy, with a narrative and solution-focused framework. Dr. Moore is direct and believes in addressing problems head on, to ensure optimal success, within a limited amount of time. Dr. Moore is able to apply spiritual-based principles within appointments for those who request it. As a professor, Dr. Moore is able to incorporate current scientific knowledge into his clinical practice, including his own published research.

Clinical Background
Dr. Moore has worked with a variety of treatment issues, including but not limited to stress, anxiety, depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Substance Abuse, Addiction, workplace conflict and trauma, family dysfunction, childhood trauma, parent/child relationships, teen delinquency, sibling issues, caregiver stress, and children and adults with disabilities (including work with individuals who are deaf and hard of hearing).
Dr. Moore has worked with Couples conflict, Marital Discord, human sexuality, anger, grief, and loss, spiritual concerns, obesity, weight loss, and eating disorders, (including work with bariatric surgery patients), and addressing mental health issues and barriers that may accompany medical diagnoses such as diabetes, hypertension, obstructive sleep apnea, cancer, chronic pain, among others.
Additionally, Dr. Moore has experience working with military populations (pre and post deployment), Public Safety professionals (Police officers and Firemen, including critical incident debriefing), Public Service Professionals, (educators, medical professionals, attorneys) as well as high achieving individuals, (business executives, public figures, pastoral leaders, and others who may work in the media, sports, music, entertainment, and other industries). Dr. Moore has also done work in crisis intervention, and worked with youth and families involved in the criminal justice system.
