Every person brings a unique story to therapy. Our identities, relationships, families, cultures, communities, lived experiences, values, and beliefs all shape how we experience the world, navigate challenges, and define wellness.

Creating a Space Where You Can Be Yourself

Beginning therapy can feel vulnerable, particularly if you have previously felt misunderstood, judged, or overlooked because of your identity, culture, family background, beliefs, or life experiences.
Our goal is to create a therapeutic relationship where you can bring your authentic self into the conversation without feeling that you need to educate, explain, or minimize your experiences. We approach every therapeutic relationship with curiosity, cultural humility, respect, and a genuine desire to understand what matters most to you. We believe meaningful therapy is built upon trust, collaboration, and authentic human connection. |
Our Approach
Culture influences every aspect of our lives. It shapes our identities, relationships, communication styles, family traditions, beliefs, values, expectations, and the ways we understand mental health, healing, and wellness.
At I AM MOORE, LLC, we believe culture extends beyond race and ethnicity. Family experiences, faith, military service, professional communities, higher education, organizational environments, socioeconomic experiences, community influences, and other aspects of identity all shape how people experience the world and relate to others.
Our approach is collaborative, strengths-based, culturally responsive, and grounded in systemic thinking. Rather than making assumptions about your experiences, we seek to understand the unique cultural, relational, and environmental factors that have shaped your life. Therapy is tailored to the individual, couple, or family—not the other way around.
