Meet Katie Ross, LAMFT, PMH-C, Doctoral StudentLife has a way of changing when we least expect it.
Sometimes those changes bring excitement and hope. Other times they leave us feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, uncertain, or emotionally exhausted. You may be adjusting to becoming a parent, navigating changes in your relationship, managing anxiety or depression, balancing the demands of work and family, or simply trying to make sense of where life has taken you. Whatever has brought you here, you don't have to navigate it alone. Therapy for individuals and couples who are ready to heal, grow, and move forward. |
Not Your Average Therapist
Therapy isn't about having someone tell you what to do. It's about having someone who is willing to truly listen.
I believe one of the most powerful parts of therapy is having a space where you don't have to pretend you're okay, carry everything by yourself, or have all the answers. My role isn't to "fix" you, because I don't believe you're broken. Instead, I strive to create an environment where you feel safe enough to be honest, curious enough to explore new possibilities, and supported enough to make meaningful changes in your life.
Healing doesn't always happen through dramatic breakthroughs. Often, it happens through small moments of insight, compassion, courage, and consistency. Together, we'll explore the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, strengthen the relationships that matter most, and develop practical tools that help you move toward the life you want to create.
I believe every person deserves to feel seen, heard, valued, and understood. If you're looking for a therapist who will meet you with compassion, authenticity, and genuine care while helping you navigate life's challenges, I would be honored to walk alongside you.

Who Am I?
Before anything else, I am a wife, a mother, and someone who believes deeply in the power of human connection.
I've always been drawn to understanding people and the relationships that shape their lives. Listening, supporting others, and creating spaces where people feel comfortable being themselves has always come naturally to me, and those qualities ultimately led me to become a Marriage and Family Therapist. Life has also taught me that even positive changes can bring unexpected challenges. As a military spouse and mother, I've experienced transitions that required resilience, flexibility, and the willingness to begin again. Those experiences have strengthened my appreciation for meaningful relationships, emotional well-being, and the importance of having support during life's most vulnerable seasons. As a therapist, educator, and lifelong learner, I know how anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, and major life transitions can affect every aspect of a person's life. My goal is to help individuals, couples, and families feel empowered, strengthen their relationships, and recognize that healing and growth are always possible. Who am I? I am a wife, a mother, an educator, a compassionate listener, and someone who believes people are often far more resilient than they realize. My hope is that every person I work with leaves feeling supported, encouraged, and more confident in their ability to navigate whatever lies ahead. |

What It's Like to Work With Me
|
Therapy is a collaborative process built on trust, authenticity, and the belief that meaningful change is possible. I believe every person has unique strengths, even during seasons when those strengths may be difficult to recognize.
Together, we'll explore the experiences that have shaped your life, identify patterns that may no longer serve you, and develop practical strategies to help you move forward with greater confidence and clarity. My goal is to help you feel supported while also equipping you with tools you can continue using long after our sessions end. My approach is warm, collaborative, and relationship-centered. I strive to create an environment where you feel comfortable asking difficult questions, expressing your emotions honestly, and working toward goals that are meaningful to you. Beyond the Therapy Room
|
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, and creating meaningful memories with the people I love. Whether we're exploring somewhere new or simply enjoying a quiet evening together, I value the everyday moments that strengthen relationships and remind us what matters most.
I'm naturally curious and enjoy learning, whether through reading, teaching, meaningful conversations, or new experiences. I believe personal growth is a lifelong journey, and I strive to approach both life and my work with humility, compassion, and a willingness to continue learning. I also appreciate opportunities to slow down, recharge, and be present. Those moments help me maintain balance and allow me to show up fully for both my family and the individuals I have the privilege of serving. At the end of the day, what matters most to me is living with compassion, investing in meaningful relationships, continuing to grow, and helping others discover the strength, resilience, and hope that already exist within them. |
