Therapy for Higher Education

Working or studying in higher education can be deeply meaningful, but mentally exhausting. Faculty, staff, administrators, and students often navigate complex systems, heavy workloads, unclear expectations, emotional labor, and institutional pressures that are rarely acknowledged and understood.

At I AM MOORE, LLC, we provide therapy for individuals across higher education who are navigating the emotional, relational, and professional realities of academic life. Our work is informed by direct experience within academic institutions and a systems-oriented understanding of how colleges and universities shape well-being. We recognize that stress in higher education is often not a personal failing, but a response to layered systems, roles, and expectations.

Who We Support

We provide role-specific therapy for:
  • Faculty
  • Staff
  • Administrators & Higher Education Leaders
  • Undergraduate, Graduate, & Doctoral Students

Each role comes with unique pressures, responsibilities, and emotional demands. Our care is tailored to reflect those differences.

Our Approach

Our work with higher education professionals considers:
  • Institutional culture and hierarchy
  • Power, visibility, and vulnerability
  • Role strain and boundary challenges
  • Emotional labor and burnout
  • Racialized and gendered experiences
  • Leadership stress and decision fatigue
  • Identity, purpose, and sustainability
  • Financial and emotional costs
Rather than reducing these experiences to individual coping alone, therapy offers space to understand how systems influence stress—and how to respond with clarity and intention.
